JFF NAF Apprenticeship Financial Assistance
Good Morning Friends,
I just wanted to pass this information along if you haven't already seen it. The NAF has $2M in funds they are awarding directly to apprentices to help support them during their apprenticeship training. If you happen to know anyone in an apprenticeship, or have students in an apprenticeship, this would be a good resource for them to apply to for additional assistance with finances. It's a pretty simple and straightforward application (no huge essays, etc...lol!).
New Opportunity: Financial Assistance for Apprentices - Jobs for the Future (JFF)
For more information they are holding an info session soon: Unlocking Opportunities: A Spotlight on the New National Apprentice Fund Tickets, Wed, Apr 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM | Eventbrite
Additionally, there is a link you can use to refer apprentices to apply which would be a great way to send out to any apprentices you support and/or work with. National Apprentice Fund

The tech industry is evolving at an unprecedented pace, with breakthroughs in AI, automation, and digital transformation redefining the way we work. Yet, as innovation accelerates, the career landscape for women in tech has faced new challenges. Diversity gains have stalled, leadership pipelines have shifted, and the way we build culture, foster connections, and find allies has fundamentally changed.
Innovation isn’t just about technology—it’s about leadership and careers, too. Whether you're navigating career growth, driving change in your organization, or leading teams through transformation, the skills and strategies that worked a few years ago are no longer enough. The industry is moving forward, and now is the time to ensure that women in tech continue to lead out to make the future better.
Join us at Innovation Summit: The Age of AI to engage in critical conversations about the future of work, the power of leadership at every level, and how we can shape the next era of technology—together. No matter your role or career stage, this is your opportunity to gain insights, build connections, and drive meaningful change. Let’s create the future of tech, leadership, and careers—on our terms

[TAP] CALL FOR PRESENTERS - K-12 Teaching as a Profession Summer Conference
All:
I am working on preparing for the K-12 Teaching as a Profession Summer Conference. Please make your calendar for Wednesday, June 11, 2025! We are still finalizing the location but plan on it being in the Wasatch Front area (think Canyons, Jordan, Granite, Alpine area).
Summer conference will look a little different this year as I want to be able to provide a more collaborative experience for TAP teachers instead of multiple breakout sessions like we have done in the past. The reasoning behind this is TAP teachers across the state have been asking to be able to collaborate with other TAP teachers to get ideas, ask questions, discuss, plan, etc. I want to be able to allow you to sit down as a group discuss topics such as:
Deep dive into the standards
Instructional materials to teach the standards
Understanding YouScience data
Update to the K-12 Teaching as a Profession pathway
Alignment between TAP courses and Educators Rising Utah
With that said, I am looking for facilitators to help with the topics listed above. If you are selected to help facilitate summer conference, you would need to be able to participate in the following:
Attend 2 virtual meeting (April/May) to summer conference plan
Create an outline for 1.5 hours of presentation during summer conference
If you are interested in being a facilitator for one of the courses at summer conference, please complete the following Google form by Friday, February 28. I will reach out to you in March if you are selected to help. As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you for all you doing and creating a professional development that is beneficial to all TAP teachers across the state.
ACTION ITEM: Complete the Google Form by Friday, February 28, if you are interested in being a facilitator at the 2025 K-12 Teaching as Profession Summer Conference.
ah
We invite you to share your expertise and innovative teaching practices by presenting at the Summer Conference this year.
If you are interested in presenting, please submit your proposal, using this link - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSddsK4_jgl3nFEbFK6CK3nd2eFoJIBQCwly9g8pfFM4c8ET_w/viewform?usp=sharing
